Delicious restaurant locations in Windsor, Ontario, Canada
Have you ever wanted to visit Windsor? Or if you do live in Windsor, and are pondering of a delicious restaurant to sit down in? Perhaps even try something new? Well maybe I found a hidden gem that you don’t know of.
Ranging through every meal to satisfy a need, along with places to fill your belly to the brim; and to satisfy a sweet tooth.
After all that and you’re still not satisfied, then I deeply apologize.
I won’t go into detail of what you should eat or what is healthy for you, but I will provide some information on each part of the “three important meals”.
I do want to remind you that everyone’s body is different and will react differently. For example, some people can skip breakfast and/or lunch and still have a sustainable amount energy. Meanwhile some people may even be on a diet that could interfere with the three basic meals.
Breakfast/Lunch
Breakfast

People always say “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day!”. I did a quick browser search on why, and I learned that having breakfast in the morning is said to help quite a bit.
Some benefits of eating breakfast includes, but is not limited to: Improving mood, productivity, energy and focus. Having breakfast also has health benefits, including but not limited to: reduced risks of certain diseases. It’s said to help with weight management along with “waking up” the metabolism, which will help burn the calories instead of conserving them, making it more difficult to lose weight.
One thing in the quick search that kind of intrigued me was “reducing unhealthy cravings”.
Again, getting my information from a quick web search, the ideal time for breakfast is between 6:00-9:30am (06:00-09:30H). It does say that there isn’t a fixed time for breakfast, as long as it falls within the first hour or two from waking up. But eating breakfast between 6:00-9:30am (06:00-09:30H), is where the health benefits and metabolism stuff really kick in – or so told.
I’ve always been the kind to skip breakfast. Whether it be that I never had time in the morning, or I just wasn’t hungry. On the weekends, everyone usually slept in till after 10am (10:00H). After reading up on the benefits of not skipping breakfast, I decided to give it a go. I began eating a bowl of Special K cereal for breakfast every morning alongside coffee.
I noticed an increase in energy and I got hungry around the 4-5 hour gap for the “ideal lunch”. But at the same time I felt like I was gaining more weight, despite having a labor intensive job. The increased energy only lasted for a few weeks, then went back to how it was before I started eating breakfast.
This could be because of what I was eating, how much I was eating, or not changing it up. But, this was my personal experience with including breakfast into my daily routine. I’m not trying to discourage anyone from eating breakfast. Even I still eat breakfast at least once a week, just not everyday anymore. I do want to stress that this was my personal experience, and your experience might be different.
Lunch

Some Europeans may call lunch a “midday meal”. The ideal time for lunch is between 11:30am-2:00pm (11:30-14:00H). Following along the lines of the health benefits, it’s good to have lunch 4-5 hours from when you have breakfast. With this in mind, 2:00pm (14:00H) may seem like a late lunch to some. So don’t have lunch at that time if it feels too late.
Lunch is said to also help with things like energy and focus. A lot of people tend to skip lunch as well; myself included. For me, work just gets in the way. This may be the same for others as well! Others might have their own reason that may even be more personal. Which is completely okay!
Brunch

Brunch is a whole history lesson on its own! But, as described in itself, brunch is breakfast AND lunch in one meal! This doesn’t mean to have eat two meals at once! It means that you can have a meal at a decent time that will cover two meals in one. Some may consider it a late breakfast.
Brunch is ideally between 10:00am-2:00pm (10:00-14:00H).
Tasty breakfast/lunch places
Breakfast guyz
This delicious restaurant is located at 2763 Howard Ave.
Parking is not the best and it’s mixed in with a motel, but at least it’s not road parking. I have had many items on the menu and never had a problem. The food and service is fantastic.
I’ve yet to try the coffee, but my partner never had anything bad to say about it. My go-to is the lemon ginger tea. I don’t add anything to it and let it steep for about 5 minutes and the natural flavor gets really potent, that you don’t need to add anything! But don’t let it steep too long. The ginger flavor gets REALLY potent.
Some items I’ve had are the BG’s big breakfast, freshitarian skillet, original eggs benedict, very berry parfait, and the strawberry salad. Again, they were all really good and my go-to as of recent would be the freshitarian skillet.
On average, a bill for two people was usually around $55-65 CND for 2 meals and 2-3 drinks(as of February 2026).

Town Diner
With two locations: one being at 215 Eugenie St. West in Windsor, and the other being at 250 Sandwich St S. in Amherstburg.
I’ve yet to visit the location in Amherstburg; but it might be an upcoming visit. As for the location in Windsor on Eugenie, it’s a good location with many competitors in the surrounding area. There’s plenty of parking that’s not hard to get in and out of.
The food is good. I had many things from the menu such as, crepes, seasonal fruit bowl, eggs benedicts, skillets, etc. I’ve never had a bad food experience there. Even the coffee was delicious, especially the iced coffee!
I do enjoy how the place kind of looks similar to an “old school” diner.
Many people will have a different experience on the service. The wait for the food is normal, even on busy days; so good job to the kitchen.
There used to be two girls that were consistent weekend workers, that made the experience of going there for breakfast so much better. We were always greeted warmly and with a smile each time. They were funny and engaged in conversation when possible, without overstepping any boundaries between customer-to-server. But they no longer work there, due to moving out of the city.
My partner and I decided to return to the Town Diner for breakfast, just to see if the experience is the same; but we were sadly mistaken. The two new waitress’ that were there, didn’t greet us with a smile or a “hello” or “welcome”. They just stood there for sometime before saying anything. It was kind of awkward.
This was back in late 2025, so it might be different since then.
I don’t want to detour anyone from trying this place, because the food is genuinely good. Not only that, the last time we went, they seem to be shuffling through waitress’s. So the experience could be different.
Our bill usually averaged to about $65-75 CND for 2 meals and 2-3 drinks (as of November 2025).
Paul’s Kitchen
Located at 2565 Dougall Ave.
This location is kind of weird to get into since it’s immediately after a horrible intersection, but this delicious restaurant won’t leave you hungry. There’s some parking but if it’s busy, it might be a bit difficult to get a spot.
Firstly, the portions are huge! Big enough for them to offer a “half order” of a menu item. But I can say confidently, it’s really good food. If you don’t order the half portion, you can always take your leftovers home!
I don’t remember exactly what I got since it was quite some time ago.
The server that attended to us was super polite and nice and constantly made sure we were taken care of.
I would definitely return to this place.
The bill came to around $55-65 CND for 2 meals and 2 coffees (as of late 2025).
Scrumptious eatery dinner places

Eating dinner holds some benefits, going “by-the-book” of standard “3 meals a day”. Just a quick google search of “benefits of eating dinner”, the overview will tell you that dinner is beneficial for overnight fasting, improving sleep and regulating blood sugar.
Again, this is just the baseline and will not apply to everyone.
It is recommended to eat dinner about three hours before going to bed, just so everything you ate has time to digest and do it’s thing, before your body goes into “sleep mode”; basically everything slows down.
Along with the overview, it mentions the benefits of eating dinner with family, but I won’t go over that for the fact that not everyone has someone to eat with everyday.
The Keg
With many locations in Windsor, the one that I mainly enjoyed was the one located at 1 Riverside Dr. W Suite 101.
From what I’ve noticed, each location serves relatively the same food. But the quality seems to be better at the Riverside location compared to the location near Devonshire Mall.
The servers were nice as usual, which is expected since it’s a fancier restaurant.
The few experiences I had at that location wasn’t the best. I’ve encountered more rude service at the location near Devonshire Mall, but this was years ago. The bread was hard, and our food was lukewarm to room temperature.
The place is known for a great steak, so that’s what I usually end up getting. The last time I went to the Keg, I got a steak and lobster meal and my partner also got one of the steaks; I think he got the T-bone steak. Overall, everything was delicious.
At the Riverside location, there’s a huge parking garage that you may have to pay for, depending on when you go. It’s a little trouble to get a spot since it’s used by other surrounding businesses. Meanwhile the Devonshire location has plenty of free parking that’s also shared with surrounding businesses.
Of course, the average cost for 2 meals, 1 appetizer, and 2 alcoholic drinks was about $120-130 CND(as of early 2026)
Armando’s
Though there a few locations, the one that we normally go to and people tend to have better experience at, is the one located at 3202 Walker Rd.
I’ll only talk about the location on Walker, since that’s the only one I’ve gone to.
As usual, the parking is tight but it’s free. If it’s busy, you’ll have trouble getting a spot.
The servers were good. I’ve only had one bad experience with the servers out of the many times I’ve gone.
The food is amazing. From the pizza, to the pasta, even the appetizers! The last time I went, I got the seafood pasta and a small pizza; I highly recommend. You can even get a custom pizza if you don’t like any of the preset ones. I do want to add that this place could be a good spot for a birthday party, as long as you make a reservation.
Our bill usually came to around $100-120 CND for 2 seafood pastas, a small pizza. I don’t remember if we got an appetizer or not(as of January 2026).
Kinton Ramen
Recently opening at 1475 Huron Church Rd. This is the only Kinton location in Windsor, that I know of.
To get an idea, even though it says it in the name, this is a ramen restaurant.
Ramen is, but not limited to, alkaline wheat noodles served in different types of protein based broths that have been simmered for a long time. Commonly seasoned with things like miso and soy sauce, and has a variety of toppings. Famously known in relation to the Japanese culture, ramen was actually introduced to the Japanese culture late 1800’s. (Based on the overview on google).
This delicious restaurant is definitely worth going to if you enjoy noodles/soup. The only competitor that’s in Windsor, that I know of, is Ajisen Ramen, located on Dougal; Although they have more than just ramen.
Kinton has cool inside prizes you can win, based what some specials they have. And they recently added some sort of points system as well.
The server with the colorful hair is a delight to be served by. She’s super sweet and kind. This location is quite quiet, so it could be a good spot to study.
The food is awesome but the portions are quite filling. The range of ramen is quite wide, and they even have takoyaki (octopus balls)! The vegetable dumplings are SO good. My mouth is watering just thinking of them.
I try to get a different item each time I visit, and it’s kind of hard to recommend something since I normally get the special items that are no longer available. They change often but every time I’ve had one, it’s always been super good.
If they bring it back, I do recommend the swicey ramen golden sesame specials.
Almost forgot to include that there’s plenty of parking. It’s connected to a plaza that’s currently being built, so you kind of have to maneuver a bit.
The total for the 2 specials was about $72 CND but this included a drink and an appetizer per special with a side of 2 things of tofu. It would be cheaper if we got a drink that was included in the special. (As of March 2026).

Tabouli by Eddy’s
Located at 1614 Lesperance Rd. There might be other locations, but this is the only one that I’m aware of.
We went here for a small birthday party. There were about 8 of us in total, so obviously we had to make a reservation.
Even though I wasn’t in the mood for Lebanese food, the platter that we shared was still good. The hummus and bread was definitely a hit though. As the famous saying goes “majority wins” and the other seven people really enjoyed it.
The waiter was helpful and nice.
There’s parking a lot of parking, but also a lot of other businesses. I didn’t get to see the total, but the platter itself was pretty expensive.
El dorado
Only one location in Windsor, El Dorado is located at 9733 Tecumseh Rd. E.
If you’re ever craving spanish food, this is a great fantastic place to go.
We normally get the birrira tacos, and they are SO good. Especially with the au jus (I think it’s called).
It’s a quaint restaurant, so there’s not many sitting options. But there is parking!
The price for two people for just the 3 birria meal with broth is about $55-60 CND after tax (as of March 2026).
El Patron
Closely located to El Dorado, El Patron is located at 12058 Tecumseh Rd. E.
Alongside El Dorado, El Patron is also Mexican-like cuisine. But, El Patron is more fancier.
When my partner and I went here, we got the birria taco box and one alcoholic drink each. The birria box cames with 10 tacos, 3 broths, salsa and limes. We don’t remember the drinks we got, but I do remember getting the Sangria. The food was really good, it will leave you in awe, maybe.
The parking is a bit tricky and tight. Just like the other locations, if it’s a busy night, it’s going to be a bit difficult to get a spot.
I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time, because this place is always packed. We usually had to wait somewhere between 30-90 minutes if we didn’t make a reservation.
The servers were always nice and cooperative.
Our total was around $100+ CND (as of late 2025) which is expected since it’s a fancier place, but nothing crazy fancy.
SunHong bbq
Located at 2037 Wyandotte St. W.
I don’t remember much of this place because of how long it’s been since I’ve been here. But I do remember the food being really good. There was some sort of peanut sauce that was SO good, and I would go back just for it.
The restaurant seemed family owned, but everyone was so nice despite the language barrier.
Parking wasn’t the greatest. It was just paid roadside parking. But that’s the same with every place on Wyandotte. Either pay for roadside parking, or try and find a spot in one of the side roads.
This is probably the only reason why we’ve yet to return to this restaurant.
Orient Restaurant Japanese Grill
I know it’s technically not located in Windsor, but in Lasalle. This delicious restaurant is too good to not add in the list. It’s location is 5841 Malden Rd.
There is not enough words to describe how good this place is.
For starters, there’s plenty of parking, so you never have to fight for a spot.
There’s many seating options, even if you want to come here for a small get-together or birthday party.
The workers and owner are super nice and they’ve never got our order wrong thus far.
The food is mouth-watering good. Aside from it being utmost delicious, it will leave you full; or even have leftovers! The sauce that they have pairs so well with the food. It could be addicting.
I normally go for steamed rice with 2 types of protein. I like to change it up a bit, but a common go-to, even for my partner, is the Jerry’s special.
The prices are unbeatable for what you get, and it’s definitely a place you can go if you’re on a budget.
Canadian Brew House
This should be fairly easy to find since it’s connected to Devonshire mall; basically the only mall in Windsor. The location for this is 3100 Howard Ave.
This place opened up recently (May 2025 if I’m not mistaken).
I wasn’t expecting the food to be as good as it was. For the most part, it’s just your standard bar/beer food. But, I can say, it definitely has quality.
Like most places on this list, there’s plenty of parking, since it’s connected to a mall. Easy to access, and plenty of seating options.
This place is more on the expensive side, but if it fits in your budget, I highly recommend visiting this place at least once. Our last visit which was in March 2026, our bill came to around $120 CND for 2-3 alcoholic drinks each, and two meals (one being a classic poutine and the other being a burger).
They always have some sort of special going on (such as Wing Wednesday), so the price is going to fluctuate depending on the day.
Harbor House
Beautifully located at 9550 Riverside Dr. E. Literally located on the water front.
With a breathtaking view of the river from the dining room, and calm lights illuminating the tables in the dead of night. This delicious restaurant is on the fancier side.
Definitely “date night” type.
The food and drinks has never failed to be amazing. To play in the fancy side, they even have Crème Brûlée and Affogato as a dessert option!
I have had many things on the menu, and never had any problems except for not having enough room in my stomach to finish everything.
With is, it’s hard to recommend something. The mussels and oysters in the appetizer section are something we ALWAYS get when we go.
The servers are always nice and attentive and always take care of everyone’s needs in a timely manor.
There’s a parking lot across the road that almost always has open spots. If not, there’s another one right next to it.
Sofos Greek Restaurant
As described in the name, this is a Greek restaurant; located at 6082 Techumseh Rd. East.
I’ve only visited this location once in person, not because it’s a bad area; I was just lazy and my partner and I just wanted a quick meal. So, we would just have the food delivered to our home.
During my one visit, I can confirm that there are plenty of parking spots and a nice dine-in spot. The parking is easily accessible considering that there are two entrances, one from the main road and the other from the side.
Greek food usually speaks for itself in what to expect, but the menu consists of foods like fries, poutines, gyros, shwarmas, subs, salads and much more. They even have daily specials as well!
Recently we got two beef/lamb gyros with some add-ons (which increased the price), a poutine, Strawberry Romanoff honeyballz and Rocky Road honeyballz. The price came up around $60, but we also had to pay for the delivery fee through the app we used.
The food here is soooo delicious and filling. We ended up not finishing the poutine despite us sharing one; I only ate about half of my gyro and we ended up saving the honeyballz for the following day.
On the plus side, the food was still super good the following day, even without reheating it.
I promise that the food doesn’t normally look this messy. Our delivery driver had our food tossed around in the trunk.
All-You-Can-Eat sit down or buffet style
Since this category of restaurants seem to be a huge attraction and lots of people love them, from what I’ve observed, I’ll include a few locations I have thoroughly enjoyed, and tend to visit whenever the occasion rises.
But first, a some fact of history!
Surprisingly, all-you-can-eat buffets did NOT originally come from America! I don’t want to be stereotypical or racist, but a lot of people (including my research) know America for its gluttony.
Dating all the way back to the 1500s in Sweden, where they seem to be the first to host and name the all-you-can-eat as “Brännvinsbord”; translating to “table of spirits”.
The food usually consisted of finger foods such as meats/fish, cheese and bread, alongside “Brännvin” (a traditional spiced Vodka). Citation from Foodandwine.com
Oishii Sushi
Located at 7485 Tecumseh Rd. E.
The open hours line up perfectly for lunch and dinner for any day of the week.
I can say confidently that this place will not let you down. Everything that my partner and I have ate has always been fresh and delicious. Our go-to is the sashimi and the cold tofu. Just thinking of it is making my mouth water.
The menu seemed to have more options than many other places as well.
The service was always amazing and we never had trouble getting seated; and that’s including going around the stereotypical dinner time!
The parking is easy to access but kind of tight. There are plenty of spots to park though!
After a tip, our total usually averaged around $90-100 CND for two people.
Taka Sushi
Located at 5011 Legacy Drive.
This place gets A LOT of attention. It has plenty of seating but sometimes there’s a wait time to be seated.
I haven’t been to this location ever since we got recommended Oishii sushi. But the last time few times we ate here, we were a little disappointed, here’s why:
The service was a bit slower then normal, despite it being a less busy day. Some items that were dropped off at our table, we didn’t order. Some things that we ordered, never showed up.
Take this as you will, but don’t let it discourage you from trying this place. It’s still a highly populated place and their lunch prices tend to be different from their dinner prices.
Their menu also has options that aren’t really “Asian cuisine” such as French fries and chicken nuggets. It kind of feels like “Tex Mexican” but Chinese style.
HUGE parking since it’s connected to a movie theatre and a strip of other retail stores, along with many entrances that are easily accessible.
The hours ranging at a competitive time for lunch and dinner. I don’t remember the price exactly, but dinner for two all-you-can-eat was on average $88-90 CND.
Mandarin
Similar to that of the Canadian Brew House, this restaurant shouldn’t be hard to locate. This place is also connected to the outside of Devonshire mall. Sharing the same location of 3100 Howard Ave.
This all-you-can-eat restaurant is more buffet styled. There are rows of food that you get up and grab.
There’s A LOT of options and more dessert options than the other all-you-can-eat locations in this list.
There’s plenty of seating, and once in a blue moon, they have unbeatable discounts/deals.
The pricing is pretty consistent with the other all-you-can-eat restaurants.
Tenko Sushi
This quaint restaurant is located at 4450 Walker Rd.
There are tight parking spots, but plenty spots nonetheless. There are other restaurants connected to this parking lot, so I’d imagine that there’s competition here.
We’ve never had to wait for a seat and the service was always amazing. They have a variety to booth seats and tables with chairs. Sometimes we got to choose where we wanted, but most of the time, they chose for us; which is no big deal.
The food is really good and always fresh.
The last time we dined here, they didn’t bring some of our ordered items which was kind of disappointing; but we were already full to the brim at that point. So it didn’t really bother us.
Their open hours are very close to Oishii Sushi, which spikes some competition. Though I was told that Oishii and Tenko are owned by the same people. But I can’t say that confidently.
The price is good, pretty standard compared to the others. The average bill after a tip was around $90-100 CND for two people, all-you-can-eat.
Mouthwatering desserts

We can’t forget a sweet treat to finish your palate!
The origin of dessert came from France. Back in the 1600s, the word “dessert” derives from the French word “desservir” which translates to “to clear the table”. The dessert course of the meal was known as “le fruit” but was later replaced with the name “dessert”, after the French Revolution by the aristocratic. Citation from daily.jstor.org
Busker’s Subs & Ice cream
Located at 1805 Tecumseh Rd. W. Having long open hours, you can come here for lunch or even a sweet treat from 10am to 10pm almost everyday!
The menu ranges widely from poutines, fries, subs, and more! Many ice cream flavors, sundaes, frozen yogurt, and more!
Their portions are huge for what you pay for, so it’s always worth spending money here. We normally get two frozen yogurts and the total usually comes to around $16; but again, you get what you pay for.
The parking is easily accessible, but there aren’t many spots. But they always had open spots whenever I went.
The photos below are not accurate representations of the food to expect.

Presotea
Three convenient locations around the city, the one we normally go to is the one at 4450 Walker Rd. Occasionally we will go to the location in Lasalle.
We personally don’t like the area of the one located on Wyandotte, and there’s basically no parking. So we tend to stay away from this one. But if you’re in walking distance or “in the neighborhood”, do not stray away from this one because of our disadvantages. Do give the place a try! The employees are amazing; from what I remember.
Personally, I like to check the menu once and awhile, specifically around any sort of holiday or season change because they almost always have something to fit the occasion.
This bubble tea place has a huge range in drinks from fruity, coffees, teas, slushes, creamy, and so on. Along with that, there’s quite the range of stuff you can add to your drink such as, bobbas, jellies, tapiocas, aloe vera, seeds, and many more.
The price for two large drinks tend to be around $20 after tax, which is not bad at all for how big the large drinks are.

Onezo
Only one location in Windsor, located at 3220 Dougall Ave.
This is also another bubble tea place, but they also have a little section for dessert!
This small company is still growing, which is one of my reasons for supporting this place whenever I can. But their drink choices are increasing! The last time we were there, there was only about 1 drink options, but I keep seeing billboards that they have more options now!
I highly recommend the matcha series but one of the employees told us that the one of the drinks we ordered would taste like the cereal Captain Crunch, and it did! I really wish I remembered the name of the drink.
Another amazing thing about this place is that they have their own tapioca blend called “Onezo tapioca” and it’s truly tasty.
The average price for two drinks is around $18 depending on the size and drink and toppings you get. Looking at the menu as I write this makes me want to visit this place again. They have so much more drinks and desserts!
Cooleez Ice Cream Parlour
This place is opened seasonally. Unfortunately, this means they’re only open during the summer. Located along the water and in Coventry Gardens, making it a perfect place to have a nice walk while enjoying some cold refreshments.
And if you don’t want to walk through the garden, you can have a nice stroll along the water front.
Just like any other ice cream parlour, their menu consists of ice cream, floats, sundaes, and so on. The set up is like that of a grab & go, which is not bad but gets pretty packed quickly.
The only downfall to this spot is that parking is almost impossible. But just down the road a bit (within walking distance) is a parking lot open for the public on the corner of Pillette and Pleasant.
Dari DeLite
Unfortunately, this spot is also seasonal; so it’s only open during the summer.
This spot is perfectly located at 2686 Howard Ave.; just down the road from Devonshire mall.
The menu has quite the range of ice cream treats that are more then just a scoop of ice cream. Sundaes, dipped, two flavors in one swirl, and more.
It is a grab n’ go style and very limited benches, if any anymore; but there are some parking spots right beside the building. This shouldn’t stop you from visiting this spot. The price and flavors are amazing and worth every penny. Dari DeLite is a huge spot; so depending on the time of day you go, there might be a line-up.
Mr Puffs
This wonderful spot is located right next to OneZo, with the address being 3220 Dougall Ave.
Each time I look at this place, all of my cravings ignite. They are most known for their puffs, which seems to be like a small circular donut that have SO many toppings; including cinnamon sugar, jams, syrups and more. The awesome thing is that they even have seasonal and limited specials!
Other things on the menu are drinks: milkshakes, coffee; Ice cream: cones with toppings, blended mixes, and more! This place also added more stuff since the last time I ordered from here.
I must warn you though; these puffs are really filling. So if you think 12 puffs is not a lot. Trust me, it is (unless I just have a small stomach). But keep in mind, this place seems very much the dessert type; so naturally you would have already had dinner before dessert.
They even have bundles of items as well! So if you have a party are something, you could easily order like 100 puffs for a pretty reasonable price.
There’s plenty of seats and parking, so that will never be an issue; especially when a lot of people usually order to go, or get it delivered to their homes.
Looking at the site as I write this, I noticed a points system ; just with every other points system, you can get rewards if you collect enough points. I never saw this before, but again, it’s been quite some time since I been to this location (one of the downfalls for trying to cut back on sugar, haha).
Rollz Ice cream
I was debating on including this or not. I’ve only been here once and had a great experience, but it was quite pricey; still delicious though. I’m only really adding this into the list because it was a memorable and unique experience. Like, come on, it’s rolled ice cream!
The location I went to is 1177 Lauzon Rd. I’m not sure if there are more locations in Windsor, but this is the only one I could find and tasted.
Just like every other rolled ice cream places, you get to choose from a range of flavors along with toppings. They do their thing and you get to watch if you’d like. Alongside that, they have milkshakes and some other items on the menu. The Berrylicious milkshake would be my reason for revisiting this place. It’s so good.
The price can easily very from what you get, but it’s usually about $15 after tax per person if you only get one menu item. I know it’s quite pricey, but it’s worth it in my opinion.
There is plenty of parking and it’s not normally super busy during the open hours of this place, so there usually is always a spot.
There aren’t a lot of tables inside, but just like the parking, it’s rarely super busy; unless that’s just because of the late hour I went at. Speaking of hours, the times they are open is from 3pm-11pm everyday except the weekend; they are open till midnight.

Relaxing café spots

Before we enter my favorite category, let’s hop into some history again!
‘Café’ originates from the French word “coffee”, further coming from the Arabic work “qahwa” which is also “coffee”. Coffeehouses was first invented during the 1400’s in the Middle East; making its first appearances through Europe in the mid 1600’s. But the first café opened around 1660.
In the 1900s, the concept of café became slightly altered to ‘espresso based beverages’; basically what we see cafés today.
Anchor Coffee House
This beautiful café is located at 543 Lincoln Rd.
Parking is a bit rough; we ended up parking on the side of the road. But there are plenty of seats inside.
This place gets quite the attraction, so even sitting inside might be challenging depending on the time that you go.
They have a variety of drinks, caffeinated and non-caffeinated! Along with small yummy treats if you like a sweet treat with some coffee or tea.
Or if you’re a bit more hungry, they do have lunch-like items such as, salads, soups and sandwiches.
Coffee Exchange
This café has an amazing ambience to it. Located at 266 Ouellette Ave. just down the road from Detroit river, making it a great stop before walking along the water front.
Parking is quite difficult around this place. It’s either paid road side parking, or no parking. Personally, I just park near the river in one of the parking lots and just walk over.
Parking on the side of the road can be quite tricky with it being always full, or not being able to get the digital payments to go through (since they are slowly becoming cashless operated).
Uniquely enough, this place has changed quite a bit from the last time I went here. Open later then before and the menu expanded!
They have catering options along with being able to purchase a whole cake (based on the price)!
Aside from that, they have the usual café items like caffeinated and non-caffeinated drinks; hot and cold. Sweet treats and limited meal items, like a very small selection of salads and bagels.
Personally, it’s hard to choose a favourite. I’ve tried many of the drinks from a fruit smoothie, matcha late, hot teas and hot/cold coffees; even the mandarin salad. Nothing failed to be delectable.
They even have free wifi for the lucky few that manage to snag a table. During the warmer weather, they have a small patio as well.
Caffeine & Co.
Though this café is not located in Windsor, it’s location is 238 Dalhousie St. in Amherstburg, which is fairly close to Windsor.
Also with a late open time, they have a wide range of brunch menu items. Just like the other locations, the drinks are pretty consistant.
This place kind of presents itself like it’s a delicacy, and I can say confidently that the taste suits the fancier décor.
Taloola Café
Located at 396 Devonshire Rd.
Now don’t get this confused with Devonshire mall. That’s located almost on the other side of town!
This quaint spot is perfect for sitting down and getting stuff done. I’m not sure if they have wifi open to the public, but this spot was very quiet when I went.
They have quite the selection of brunch items and drinks. This is the only place I’ve been to in Windsor that had Vietnamese Iced Coffee, which was amazing. The iced matcha was kind of a flop, but the hot matcha was better; though the sludge at the bottom was kind of a turn off.
If you’re feeling it, there’s even an alcohol section.
Road side parking without a fee and plenty of seat options inside.
The ordering style was unique for a small café. You would go up to order, they would give you a placard or something with a number on it and they would bring you your order (like that option in the fast food places).
